The potent power of simplicity

It occurred to me just the other day that there is such an incredible, potent, yet powerful potential in simplicity.

What do I mean by this?

Let me give you an example.

Let’s say you were looking to improve your wellbeing (that’s why you’re here, right!). And you were looking around at what everybody else was doing, you were listening to what every so-called “expert” had to say about the matter, and you were having ads popping up on your phone promoting the next “must have supplement”.

Where does that usually lead to when we do this?

It leads to confusion, overwhelm, having no idea on where to start, and a disconnection from what we actually intrinsically know we need.

And you can apply this to any area of your life, not just your wellbeing (but in my humble opinion, it is the most important, because it has a snow-ball effect for everything else in your life).

So what’s the remedy?

It’s simplicity (I might have spoiled the punch line with the title of this email 🙂)

And by simplicity I mean –

  • Tuning into yourself first and foremost to decipher what you need in any given moment

  • Focusing on one or just a few goals / priorities / intentions at a time to avoid overwhelm and avoid feeling like your energy is being pulled in multiple directions

  • Being intentional in where you direct your energy - the people, spaces and places that align with you, enhance your life and uplift your energy

  • Being organised and prioritising your days/weeks/months - this includes your nutrition, mindful movement, and time for yourself - however that looks for you in this season of your life

  • Asking for support where you need it - be it outsourcing tasks for your business or home, finding a wellness practitioner who can provide you with guidance on your unique situation, or asking a loved one if they can look after your children so you can have an hour to yourself

  • Put things into perspective - is that thing (you know the thing) actually urgent? Or is that self-imposed pressure you’re placing on yourself

There is no need to overcomplicate things as our human mind likes to do!

Eat clean, simple, nourishing foods that come straight from the Earth, move your body in a way that actually serves you and that you actually enjoy, love yourself and others, ask for support when you need it, and take time for fun and self-nourishment.

Turn your face towards the sun in the morning, put your bare feet on the Earth, and take a deep breath.

Trust me, you will not go wrong.
